Amusement parks offer fun and entertainment for families, children and visitors of all ages — whether you’re after thrilling rides, family-friendly attractions, or just a relaxed afternoon outdoors. While there have been past concerns about ride safety, strict regulations ensure regular maintenance and safety checks, even where some rides look aged. Qum’s amusement parks fall into two categories.

Outdoor amusement parks

Spread over wide, open areas, these parks feature everything from exciting pendulum rides, bumper cars and ferris wheels to gentler carousels and train rides. The open-air setting is wonderful in the pleasant spring and autumn months. In summer, though, the daytime heat means rides may stay closed until the evening — which can make the parks very crowded at night. Popular outdoor parks include Alavi, Ghadeer, Fadak and Hashemi.

Indoor amusement parks

Indoor parks offer a climate-controlled environment that’s especially welcome in the hotter months. Usually housed in large, well-ventilated complexes, they typically include arcade games, virtual-reality experiences, motion simulators and rides such as bumper cars and mini roller coasters, plus dedicated play areas for younger children. Some of the best in Qum are Rangeen Koman, Alavi and Sirang.
