Reader Contributions
Most pages carry a comment box for readers to report what has changed on the ground. Nothing submitted appears until a moderator has read it, and published contributions are checked but not independently verified — the page text itself remains SIOS’s own record, and the paragraph above applies to reader contributions at least as strongly as to anything else here.
When you submit a contribution we record what you write, the page you wrote it on, an optional name or nickname, an optional email address and your IP address. The name is published if you give one. Your email address and IP address are never published. The email is used only to ask you a question about your own contribution, and is not passed on. The IP address is kept to detect abuse. Rejected contributions are deleted after 90 days. The comment policy sets all of this out in full, including how to have a contribution removed.
